What began in 1981 as a summer job for a college student who quickly found he had an affinity for carpentry and storefront work has become the vision and lifework of Vlado (Val) Frankola. While still in school he became a union carpenter and began working on his own projects.

In 1985 he started his own company, Frankola Storefront, with one other employee and one van. Twenty-five years later, Empire Architectural Metal & Glass Corp. is recognized as one of the foremost architectural metal and glass companies in the New York area.

Employing over one hundred employees-many second and third generation skilled tradesmen, representing several unions, with two facilities-one designated specifically for glass- Empire Architectural Metal & Glass Corp. provides high quality professional and personalized service. With Empire handling your project, your concerns are our concerns. Our attention to detail and personalized service stem from the fact that for us our clients business is our business - and we do take it personally.
